a) Batch Fermentation
The fermenter (production tank) of the plant is filled with animal and / or vegetable wastes and the biogas formation is completed by waiting for the retention time. The retention time varies depending on the organic material used and the system temperature. At the end of this period, the fermentor of the plant is completely discharged and refilled.
b) Feeding – Batch Fermentation
Here, the fermentor is initially filled with a certain proportion of organic matter and the remaining volume is divided by the fermentation time and completed in daily amounts. At the end of the specified fermentation period, the fermenter is completely emptied and refilled.
c) Continious Fermentation
In this form of fermentation, the feed is fed daily when gas output starts from the fermentor. The degassed digestate is removed from the system as much as the mixture fed to the system. Organic matter is fed to the fermenter in certain amounts each day, waited for a retention period, and fermented material in the same proportions is taken from the fermenter daily. Thus, continuous biogas production is provided by daily feeding.
